How we quote, and what you have in your hand before anything starts
We come and look, free, and most estimates happen the same week you call. If it is something straightforward, photos texted to (470) 332-3398 will often get you a price without anybody having to be at the house.
What you get back is an itemized written quote — labor, materials and disposal on separate lines — before a single thing starts. Not a number on the back of a card. That matters most on the big jobs, because it is the only way to compare our quote honestly against anyone else’s, and it is the reason nothing gets reconstructed from a total afterward when an owner or an agent asks what something cost.
What we will not do, and we would rather say it here
Every contractor’s website lists what they do. Here is the other half, because finding it out halfway through a job is worse for you than reading it now.
No exterior painting. We paint inside. Siding and trim outside are somebody else’s trade and we will say so rather than take it on.
No weekly mowing contracts. We do cleanups, installs and the work that changes a property. Recurring lawn maintenance is not where we are pointed.
Pressure washing is subbed, and we say so. It goes to one specialist — the same person every time, someone we know personally and work with regularly. We quote it, schedule it and stand behind it, but he does the washing, because he does it every day.
Leaves are not bagged. They are mulched back into the lawn where that is the right answer, or hauled off the property. Nobody is leaving forty bags at your curb.
And sometimes the answer is no. If a wash is not worth doing, or a job sits far enough out that the drive is most of what you would be paying for, we will tell you that instead of quoting it. We would rather turn one job down than do it badly.
Insured, and what we actually stand behind
2MT Services is an LLC based in Kennesaw, fully insured with general liability. Ask and the certificate goes out before we arrive — it is worth asking any contractor for, and it is the thing that most often stops a crew at the door of a rental or a commercial building.
Retaining walls we build carry a ten-year workmanship warranty. If one fails because of how we built it, we come back and fix it, and that is written on the quote rather than said on the phone.
